click the cross thing 3 times, slowly after the projection is stops, basically, leave your mouse at the cross, click 3 times, the box will appear revealing the safe, the combo is 1994, and then use the silever key you have to open the safe, take the screwdriver, and then pop the knob with it. and you free.

I only had to click one time on the little "cross" thing. I put my mouse directly over it and waited until I was sure the "projection" had ended and the safe appeared.
