what was the answer to the dots shifting??? That one was beyond me.

The two dots in the middle were stationary while the ones in each corner were moving. The one in the upper right moved toward the lower left while the one in the lower left corner moved to the upper left as you went accross. At least that's what I thought.

Quote:
Your IQ score is 129

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician. This means you are gifted at spotting patterns — both in pictures and in numbers. These talents combined with your overall high intelligence make you good at understanding the big picture, which is why people trust your instincts and turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

Those things are horribly inflated (but why not deflated?), I wouldn't trust them in the least bit. I don't know if they're trying to boost your self confidence or something.

100 is average. Any student with a 125+ IQ is considered a "gifted" student whether or not they want to take that title and the workload that goes with it.

But still, even if you still get around the cultural biases of IQ testing, you're still measuring intelligence subjectively. There's no real way to test someone's intellectual fortitude.

I know but this test is just a fun thing to try. It makes you think a little.

I did the inkblot test at that same site and it was pretty interesting. It said my personality was based on kindness and some other BS, but it was fun (but long).

SR here.
I rated a 126. I have been tested before with results of 130 to 160.
As I am both older and much more tired now these tests really depend on your physical and mental state at the time you take the test.
Still a fun exercise

I got 131, visual math guy thing. I wouldn't trust an online IQ test though. Several have bumped me around from 130 to 160 and back.

That's umm....too high...160 is around Mozart level. Anything higher and you'd be a prodigy of the mind.

[edit] By the way, a lot of those quotes are from Oscar Wilde's plays.

Ex: The truth is hardly pure and never simple, is from "The Importance of Being Earnest".

Just a little bit of info for ya

It gave me a 133, and I didn't bother reading what it had to say about my personality. Hmm, 1:00 AM probably isn't the best time for doing this sort of thing. All the stupid IQ tests I've filled out in school have ranked me between 150-160, but meh. I don't have much faith in IQ tests anyways, although it can be fun to throw the numbers around.
