Massive lagg

Alright, I got a problem. Since this last steam update I have been getting massive lag. I start out good, about 90, then as soon as I see more than 1 of the other team I jump to between 700 - 1200 ping. I got six kills as a onos, but all I saw was six to eight marine open fire, the game lagged, so me screen froze like it was going to crash, it reverts to normal and I have killed 6 marines. I would have like to see my self kill them, but my ping was 1300 at this point. But once no one for m the other team can be viewed I am OK, I can see 6 team mates and not lag. any Ideas?

it seems the update screwed up all ur settings i.e ur rate and all...retweak them...i had sam prob...so did chief...retweaked them and work like a charm...after update i was constantly at 100 choke....now 0 choke and a 20 something ping
