If we want to encourage team play, couldn't we just eliminate Single stats and only have Clan stats? |

That wouldn't help at all because clan stats are just player stats averaged.

It could, because then the players would think about how they were doing in a team sense, not just "whats my rank", but "whats my clans rank". |

He has a point. Plus it could show the weak links in a clan (players whose skill level is really below their clans might need some more practice) |

In theory, that's a good idea...in practice, it won't show weak links. It all depends on your style of play. Some of PWG's best finish below 1000 because they get killed too often for the stats to favor them, but they help their teams enormously. Tink and Zero Hour (when they play) are two good examples...ZH will kill any sgs/snipers he can until he finally gets mowed down, then do it again and again until his team can move up...Tink will heal and heal and heal and rarely kill, but gets killed enough that her contributions aren't tallied in the stats. Those two just popped into my head cause they're damned good and I always remembered seeing them way down in the basement for stats...but there's not a chance in hell that they're weak links
Doing well in the stats takes skill...but stats aren't a measure of how skilled you are...wierd, huh?

I recognize that, and I still am pushing for someone to write new stats software so that healing can be rewarded as well as killing sg's. |

I don't know if healing being rewarded would be a good idea, because then the teams medic would just constantly heal people to boost stats. Sg killing wouldn't be a bad idea though.

I don't mean just boosting health. I'm talking about getting like 3 skill for healing infection and 1 skill for curing hallucinations/putting out flames |

I think the stats should count everything in some way -- healing infected, capping, sg's. But I don't think any stats can ever show they whole picture. Even if you count capping, the one who actually died multiple times to steal the flag may not be the one who brings it in for the score.
In my observation, the stats can steer the play more towards a "team death match" mode and inhibit flag pushing. One way to rack up kills and avoid death is to hang back just a little from the battle front (defensive posture) and pop the ones breaking through the main line. By the time they get there they are probably alone with diminished health.
On the other hand, stats make things a little more interesting. They give the regulars a reason to log lots of hours on TheVille. The more you play, the higher you can get. No perfect world, no perfect scoring system for individuals playing on randomly shuffled teams.

Maybe a two stat page. We almost have one now its called daily awards and has some cool catagories and if you click on them they come up with a weekly stats and there you will find the stats not based on over all score but for individual achivements. It's not perfect but it is a place where people low or high in stats can find them selves for other reasons. The question is can Robert change or add items here that would better represent the way we play here or is this a set tabulation.
Caps are tabulated here and people are ranked by cap. If you haven't checked this out give it a try.

im a BIG fan of the ville org II im on it all the time, then i found out abbout the vile org I and III and im on them alot too. This is my first time on your site but so far it looks cool, i like the banjo music, and the pics of HWGY and MEDIC on top.
I was wondoring if you guys would recruit me somehow. im not asking for admin privlages(althouh that would be cool if you could give me some) im just asking to be in your clan. maybe we could meet in one of the ville org servers some time. I want to be in your clan because ive met some of the members and the're really nice plus u gyz wont stop playing tfc when/if i join like my last clan.
im a nice player, i dont cheat, and on a scale of 1-10 an how good i am im probably around a 6. i play tfc alot and would be on the ville org severs 99% of the time(only time i wouldent is if they had 0 people or it was full). i would be very great clan member if you guys recruited me. i really hope you gys let me join but if you dont i wont be mad.

Nightmare, if you play at the Ville you will see several active clans on the server. The ones that I know of that are recruiting right now are [BR], <PWG>, <NSA>, and [KOZ]. There have been some posts in the forums about them recruiting, but what usually happens is if during the game they see you to be a good player they will ask if you will join.
Your other option is to ask some of the members during the game if they are recruiting and hopefully they will be able to help you get in touch with the correct person.

HLStats cannot be altered unless you want to get into modifying alot stuff, which I don't want to do. HLStats is currently being revamped/improved with bug fixes and such. The developer pretty much has stopped working on HLStats all so it's now in the hands of the HLStats community to carry it forth. That's why there hasn't been an updated version since April.
HLStats will NOT give you points for killing SGS, healing or curing, etc.. I've already tried this with no success.
