I wanna get into the irc chat thingy-ma-bob off of the misc. section but all i get is a grey box. is there some sort of program im missing or something? is that thing that pops up and asks if i wanna install and run something safe to click yes on?

yeah, the grey box is Java. The clicky box is ok for you to click on.

make sure that you click on the button on the top right that says #theville, or else you wont see any chat.
