Well, I know that, I played that too with the little model peices. It was like Warhammer 40k. We were talking about videogame versions, so that's what I meant.

For me it was only $7 for 30 minutes to play in th VR pod. I'd play every weekend at this large local arcade where they had the Virtual Worlds station and the super cool looking BattleTech area, All rusted metal with bulletholes and simulated laser holes. Missiles and a hanger where all the pods were that you sat in, closed the door and quickly flipped the toggles and hit buttons to setup the controls the way you wanted, then you got to blow eachother away for 30 minutes while people outside got to watch it all on some large TV screens like a sporting event.

There was a skit on the Flying Circus with the Rogue Cheddar, it was a cowboy western thing.

ah Yes.. Frag and I used to play Battletech all the time. I used to go with a few guys from high school. We draged Merf a couple times too if I remember right. I used to always use a Madcat v3. Run circles around them loki's.

My name comes way back from when I first started playing online games with Meridian 59 in 1996. My name was SilverTrance back then and I developed a story about my character since I really was into roleplaying games. In that game he was a mixture of good and evil. To make a loooong story short. He was possesed by an evil spirit Named Trance. Silver eventually banished this spirit.. calling himself SilverOne, as a constant reminder to himself and others that he is one.

This enabled me to make a 2nd character in these games named Trance. Which I would roleplay with him differently. Evil.. and such. Unlike SilverOne which was a good aligned character.

The name SilverOne I have used in every online game out there. So if you see the name, its probably me. If a game lets you use last names i'm usually Silverone Lightwing like my name in EQ and Daoc right now.

I got my name because back in the day (before I started playing at the ville) I used to like to hang around low grav turkeyburgers maps and jump around all the time, making me a universal flying target. What better way to express that than with the name "clay pigeon"?

Started using this nick back when I started playing online games with Q3 WFA, I liked the Phoenix from HofM and I always liked the mythology of the creature.

Except to the age old question: How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

The answer to that is 4, everyone knows that!

I took mine from Battel Tech. It is the Inner Sphere name for one of my 2 favorite battle 'Mechs (If you have played the Mechwarrior games for the PC then you know it by it's clan name, the Nova)

lol my favorite mech for teh clan is tied between Timber Wolf and Shadow Cat

and my fav inner sphere are Atlas(love teh skull head ), marauder 1 or 2 and thats pretty much it...whenever i can i try to get clan mechs...they just pimper

Timber Wolf is my other favorite. It is great when you need fire power and still be able to move, The Nova was great for hit and run, and since it was all energy weapons, you never had to worry about more ammo in extened campanes (spelling?) as for IS mechs, I typically prefered custom made ones, but if I had to use an actual one it would be an Orion

Did you guys ever get to play the REAL BattleTech? The one way back in the day where you go to the station and pick out your mech, weapons and junk then get in a virtual reality pod that closely resembles the inside of a jetfighter, with just as many buttons, and Deathmatch eachother in your mechs. I know FragFailure has, I was talking to him about it one night on messenger.

Mech of Choice, Thor5

I did I did! My friends and I played it at Wizards of the Coast fpr my 13th Bday. Lol we got yelled at for yelling and swearing into the comms. It was so much fun.

Anyway, my name is my nickname (many ppl that know me dont even know my real name since I am calle dby my nick so much). I got it from my best friends cousin who told me to "slow down turbo" cuz i was typign to her so fast on msn. I added the "!" to spice it up and add some gusto. Special huh?
