Hmmm, I dont have anything that would help you out too much sir but heres a thought, the prices are based on Canadian dollars so the deals should be even less down there.
You can buy inexpensive boards for around $50 (or less) something like an ECS K7S5A for example. You can purchase a cheap AMD CPU for this board, Durons are $50 - $75, Athlon XP's 1800+, 1900+, 2000+ are around $90 - 100, and ram is cheap, chances are good you will need new ram. 512mb of ram up here can be had for $80.
That still adds up to $225 or more, but you will have some fairly decent hardware to work with.
Dont know if this information helps or not but hopefully it does.

I have a P4 2.2 ghz processor and a Leadtech A250 video card I can part with (www.hothardware.com/hh_files/S&V/leadteka250ultragf4ti.shtml). A bit off topic but perhaps if your looking for a deal on other stuff to upgrade I can be of assistance? |

I used this mobo in all the low end systems I built/sold last year and out of 18 machines I have not had one problem. IMO the best "cheap" mobo on the market today. _________________ All comments are not nessasary those of the author so should not be taken as so.
