Well... The other day (just weeks after I searched the net for about a week) I discovered that theres an americanspecialforces gaming clan out there. It only appeared recently, however, this produces a problem:

who thought of calling their group americanspecialforces first? And so forth. Because of this, I have decided to possibly change ASF's name to something different, anyone have some ideas?

I was thinking of:

USSF - United States Special Forces
USSO - United States Special Operations
and just ASF, no americanspecialforces.

Yea but some people might get pissed. I also think that prehaps the name could be more catchy? I dunno...

i dont see how they could say who thought of it first. if they decided to say they thought of it first, and you said you thought of it first. it would be hear/say and therefore there would be nothing they could do.

also i think ASF - American Special Forces is really catchy. i like it.

my vote is to stick with it.

This is why companys name their new projects in development "Project A" anything but it's release name just to avoid such situations. Whatever you decide to do keep it to yourself!

proud... Hmm I think that I may just stick with ASF, no one has exactly copy written it - whats the point since so many people use the term anyway? Is that license cnd or usd? Does it copy write my software? Im just wondering - I may or may not buy a license from there but I gotta go to school now so I cant find out...

If I were you I would go out and get the Domain name registerd USF.com if it's available just so you avoid this problem in the future ?

I already have a domain name and everything, I may change it to americanspecialforces.net or prehaps asf.net but thats beside the point. I dont really care about them having the same name any more, if they whine about it then they can just go feck themselves.
