Well you can go ahead and reinstall steam but it won't fix that problem. I think everyone is having that same problem. It pisses me off to no end but it is something we just have to live with till someone somewhere fixes it

No change for me. I can still only connect to TV1.
I tried some tweaks that Blown provided in another thread and increased my FPS! Slighty but definitely an obvious improvement.
Still have timeout issue though.

They supposedly fixed that in the last patch.

Are any of you guys having the problem using high speed connections (cable/DSL) or are you all on dialup? If you're on dialup and it's taking too long to precache the resources with the default server settings, we may need to tweak a little on the server side.

Yeah I posted on that awhile ago I know one of the things was to change cl_timeout 350 and there was a couple more things I do believe I will see if I can find them.

I am on cable.
When I do get onto TV1, I immediately bring down my console and I see this error over and over again in the console;
Failure: Unable to download "customization"
Make any sense?

Uh, do you have downloads turned off?? Look in your config folder. You will see something that looks like this --> cl_download_ingame "1" . Make sure that is set to 1 and not 0. That may be it by the error you are getting
