I'm tryin to get this server to run correctly but I cant get admin mod to accept me as an Admin. It's running on the server. Any help?
I set it up many times but cant get it to work. How do I uninstall it and start fresh? or do I not even need to do that? What ever help will be appreciated.

Snayloff, I have not setup a server so I cannot help. Llamabeans, Munkeyeyes, Tarzan and Rob have built the servers here and may be able to give you some guidance.

I belive there are also forums at the adminmod site that you can post questions to and I belive there are also forums at planetfortress.com where you can post questions about setting up a server.

These may be better options as everyone tends to be quite busy around here.

JD

Not sure if this is your problem, but you want to look at your users.ini file. If there is not one already in your tfc directory - you will have to create one. Users.ini should be in the following format:
YourName:YourPassword:AccessLevel

The first two are self explantory, and the third is a number based on the level of acces you want to give yourself (ahem.. rtfm).

Now that the server knows who you are, you need a way to log in. The absolute, most basic way to do this is to type the following in the console when you first connect (and the server kicks you for using an admin name without a pw)
setinfo pw-home YourPassword

pw-home is a field set in your server.cfg file, but if you have not modified it yet - pw-home should still work. YourPassword is the same password from the Users.ini file. You can make binds and exec files to make the login easier - but its late

Now - go rtfm

Rob you used my favourite Acronym
RTFM
I use it often at work. So many people just want the quick way out.
For all those who don't know what it means Read
The

Manual

Why do people assume that just because I dont know the answer means I havent RTFM?
I have read it and followed it and still no dice.

You're running the server on a linux system right? You'll have to manually encrypt any passwords in order for it to work, as well as change a line in your server.cfg file. PM me if you have any questions about this. I found this out by RTFM....

Damn I just read my Dad's reply he cracks me up LOL.Seriously though some manuals are hard to understand. But for simple in game questions like how do I changes classes, how do I build a sg,how do I make my sg bigger I love to type in RTFM.The funniest thing is even if you tell them what it means they ask you what manual ? OMFG it comes with the game I feel like saying as I'm ROFLMAO (rolling on the floor laughing my ass off) hehe

RTFM /R-T-F-M/ imp.
[Unix] Abbreviation for `Read The F***ing Manual'. 1. Used by gurus to brush off questions they consider trivial or annoying. Compare Don't do that then!. 2. Used when reporting a problem to indicate that you aren't just asking out of randomness. "No, I can't figure out how to interface Unix to my toaster, and yes, I have RTFM." Unlike sense 1, this use is considered polite. See also FM, RTFAQ, RTFB, RTFS, STFW, RTM, all of which mutated from RTFM, and compare UTSL
