It was a year ago when I was in the car moving to Vegas. I'll tell you what, the years go faster and faster. The road trip itself was worth the move. Going through St. Louis (visiting Sully, no goats either), Missouri, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma State, Amarillo and Texas, Albuquerque and New Mexico, Arizona and finally 1,960 miles later in Vegas. It's been a pretty good year. I made some good friends and got one decent gig (looking for a second.) I think year two will bring much more secuirty, a perm place to live and more financial success. As someone I know says, "We'll see."

I know doesn't that suck that it's gonna be in the 60's for the next ten days? It's only gonna be like 5 for the Patriots/Titans game tomorrow.

I must say: having dropped out of university last year, not knowing what I want to do in terms of education or jobs, I guess that's a fraction like how you felt before you moved...I am sorry for giving you any sort of a hard time before.

Good luck to you in your second year there.

Put it this way. The situation with the job market was so bad in Chicago. I probably would've been 30 and forced to move back in with my parents. It was either that or try out Vegas. I've met some good loyal friends in town. There's no real drama anymore as there was in Chicago. I'd say it was worth it. It'd still be cool to see my old school friends, but not everything is perfect. Maybe I can still catch up with Silver next month...we'll see.
