Installing NS on steam

Or any 3rd party mod...

(don't know if we covered this in a definative topic)

1. Make sure fmod.dll is in your
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<email>\half-life\
folder. If not, copy it from C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\.

2. Install NS (or needed mod) to the following directory:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<email>\half-life\

ex. ns would be (installed as):
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<email>\half-life\ns\

3. Restart Steam.

4. Open your 'games' list and make sure Natural Selection (or needed mod) is listed under 3rd party games.

there is a very good steam installer for NS. It is a beta, but it worked well for me, and I didn't have to mess with anything. I'll get the link from shaft, as I have forgotten it by now.....

Could it be this link http://www.natural-selection.org/ When u go there go to downloads and look for 2.0 beta (114 megs)
