Assuming HL3 would run on the same engine creating the game will be a breeze for valve. TFC2 is already under production and it apears that valve has a useable tfc2 server and that atleast on occasion they use it.

TFC2 has been "under production" for, what, 7 years now?

I can't seem to load planethalflife. But I don't care when HL2 comes out, I won't be buying it for a few years, until it comes down to $10 or something like that.
