But if techno wont make it anywhere then why are most game soundtracks - for some games not others - techo oriented? Also, you dont program anything its all done with a program like FruityLoops or prehaps Acid <insert any acid product here>... And why do some movies use it too? I know that the matrix theme was techno in a way.

As for techno-
The reason you see techno is so many games is because it is nothing more than loops, and therefor can be played over and over nonstop. That way no matter how long a player is in an area or level or what ever, they can just have the song loop, and you can not tell since there is not distingshable (sp?) begining or end.

For a musicians stand point, I consider techno to be made by lazy and un creative musicians. It is just presampled sounds in C than many time they just randomly combined. I have seen many different programs to "write" techno music, and they are nothing more than a list of loops with a grid that you click in the boxes where you want the loop to play. It is the only style I like less than punk, atlest punk players know what an instrument looks like (I am done ranting now, if you did not knowand could not tell, I am a classic rock/blues/classical fan)

This is so awesome. All the radio stations here are awful. (read: whiny new-country 24/7 on every station, except the local NPR affiliate)
