BF1942 Aircraft

Ok, I cheated! I was not going to open-up BF1942 untl X-mas ? But, I couldn't hold-off

Can anyone who's a BF1942 Vet tell me what's easier to control the aircraft in this game with (mice vs joy stick).

I don't have a joy stick and yet I don't want to waste the money if there is an easier way to do it using the mouse.

Do you have a special script or what ? This game is going to take some time to get use too, it's not like a Medal of Honor, DOD game.

I'm not going to open Call of Duty until I finish this one.

i used mousse and the keyboard. IMO they both suck. gonna get me a joystick in january.

i use my own little config to fly planes in bf1942...

pitch down w
pitch up s
roll left a
roll right d
yaw left q
yaw right r <--- not ( e ) because it is eject

accelerate mouse1
fire space
alternate fire mouse 2

this way you control the plane with the keyboard, flight simulator style, IMO it's much easier. you will probably have to tweak the keyboard sensitivity to get it how you like it, but me and jackthehomeless both prefer this control style, even to a joystick.

I have figured out a manageable configuration using the mouse and keyboard, but from what ive heard all the real flying pros use joysticks.

heh i never use those heli's. tried it a couple of times with both mouse and keyboard. it didn't really end up to good. (certainly not when a couple of other guys are with you.

The joystick is better, but for me I like the keyboard and mouse for the rest so it is to much trouble to have both.
Glad to see you have BF now.

when your ready try the desert combat mod. Its has new weapons and things move a little faster.

Desert Combat is the best mod.
