Okay, please post what you think about this ghillie suit thus far - its jungle based and I may add some leaves to it, no transparency however because it looks like complete shit when I do so and its kinda blockey to conserve pollies (its at 2000 right now and my limit is 3000 - a low-level character such as head crabs are about 3000 pollies in HL2) even though the limit is 7500 for actual characters Im cutting back to help speed up game play and reduce lag. It still needs some work but its for a RANGER/SEAL sniper. I really dont know what I should/shouldnt add, every jungle based ghillie I see has some yellow/tan leaves in it, however I dont know what type to add (since theres so many different kinds).
Anyway, any tips, advice or comments on it thus far would be great and would be greatly appreciated.

Every Ghille suit I've ever seen had all the camo colors in it and it looks stringy. More like branches than leaves. I don't know if that will help or not. |

I think that you should wait a bit on this Potato until you know exactly how you are going to do the mod's background and scenery and combine that with your ghilli _________________ http://www.nosmacktards.com

He needs more fluff (twigs, leafy branches) to break up his silhoutte(sp?). |

Some of the textures for the MOD I already have made, and parts of the ghillie are based on those. If I add some fluff - which I may or may not do, depending on how it looks/weighs in-game - would be added at a later time, although the polly count should be considered as usual. This was part of the reason why I was experimenting with transparency to see if I could add this effect without increasing the polly count, unfortunatly it failed . However, I amy add some low-polly sticks and prehaps branches/leaves to the model.
Thanks for some of the comments/suggestions. |

Okay, some work adding fluff - branches and leaves. Im going to add some more leaves with some different textures - dont worry. I also remodeled the boots so theyll be easier to texture. Anyway, another update lateron today/tomorrow. The polly count is cuttently 2058 and Im aiming for about 2200 - 2300 with the leaves done. No other fluff will be added since branches and leaves will change his outline enough.
