Hey Azrael, nice job The pictures of the boxes of abandoned Ammo, Projectiles, made me think about Bosnia and the amount of live mines, unexploded ammo, that litter that country. What measures, if any was taken there in Iraq to prevent what happend in Bosnia (Death, Maiming)by unexploded ordinance from happening there in Iraq ? _________________ http://www.nosmacktards.com |

Az,
You know I call it like I see it so....
- I think the pictures are to small and to much compression is used.
-I think that is sucks that I want to look at the bazoka picture but cant pause or skip to it.
-There's a white line down the right side of each picture.
Dont get me wrong I like the concept its just in this case I think you should use big ass hi res pictures. I'll hit you in irc and see if maybe i got a tool that can help you. _________________ All comments are not nessasary those of the author so should not be taken as so.

Thank you Azreal, I enjoyed it. The cloths are a little different and the back drop a little drier but they could be shots from my own pictures.

I think that he had to do all that so it wouldn't take people 2 hours to load.
Anyway, Az did you get to blow up the weapons you found? _________________

Yeah, I wanted it to be something most people could dl in a relatively short timeperiod. There is a way to stop the slideshow and view pictures, but only on the VCD version, which is what I'll be giving to my friends. None of the other slideshow programs I tried came anywhere near this one, as far as being able to choose how things went, looked, sounded, etc.
AS far as the blowing stuff up question. No, I'm a Translator, not EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal). I was present at many ordnance findings, and in the general area at boom boom time. My group generally made things unworkable, i.e. we popped thermite grenades in the breaches of Iraqi Artillery pieces, which made them unuseable. _________________ Under construction!!! |

Thermite grenades = those kind that light people on fire in Desert Storm I/II right? The ones that you toss and make a big bang and flash. |

no, thermite grenades are basically bag wads of magnesium with an ignition source. They'll melt most anything, but not the armor on tanks, we tried. It will burn through engine blocks, so that was good, and even though it won't melt through an arty pieces breech, it will put so much crap inside that you wouldn't even want to put a round in.
The grenades make a nice pool of liquid hot metal. _________________ Under construction!!! |
