Do you have a gun or are you part of a shooting range? Do you have access to single, semi and automatic weapons? Do you have a video camera or do you have a really good casset recorder?

If all of your answers are yes then potato envies you... Im currently trying to find sound files for ASF - however I dont want to pay outragous prices ($20 for one sound file?! no fooking way!) and I have no "parental permission" to shoot - you gotta be either 18 or have parental permission to be able to use a fire arm where I live, no way Im getting that . So, would you help potato out? Heres what I need help with:

if you have any type of gun (whatever the kind) or know a free ware excellent quality weapon sound site then please tell me. I really need some sounds for ASF - and they need to be realistic not something like a small faint "pop" for a .50BMG. It needs to be a gut ripping sound. If you do have a gun/shooting range permission and a good video/casset recorder or your friend has one then could you possibly record the sound of you shooting? It would greatly help!

So? Wanna help potato with ASF's sound for credit - youd be a "sound engineer" ? Please note that if you could fire single shot - not empty an entire mag and hit nothing but the sand and air around the target like you normally do - then it would greatly help with the sampling and cuting of the sound also please try to let a couple of seconds go by between each shot (about 3 or 4 would be great).

Thanks a ton for any help!

I have a Kimber 1911 .45. It makes a nice sound when it goes off. I also have a Bennelli Nova 12 guage. Bennelli is the same manufacturer who makes the Marine Corps' new shotgun, the M9. I also have access to a gun club, although I would definitely need help, as I can't drive, but I have friends who can help with that. A friend of mine has an AR-15, which is a .223 FMJ, the same type of round used in the M-16. In fact, the AR-15 is simply a civilian model M-16, and does not have the three round burst mode. the M-16, M-4, and AR-15 all sound alike when fired. My same friend has all manner of Glocks, USP's, colts and springfields, as well as an assortment of shotguns. Let me know what you need, and I'll see what I can do.

yes bada you cant shoot . I dunno how you guys can shoot. I remember I use to be a good shot when I was little but then my mom found out I was using guns ...

Okay, so what I need... Thats a hard one since theres alot of weapons (about 50 or so but I can morph em and change the tones and stuff I guess) so far for ASF.

So, basic weapons:

9MM Handgun (what the type the marines use I cant remember for the life of me right now but any 9mm probably sounds almost the same).

Colt .45 (if possible theres other brands that are 45 I think).

M16 so an AR-15 would work.

About 2 or 3 different sniper rifles or hunting rifles - any cal but something that would be similar to a dragunov [7.62x54mm Rimmed], a barret m99 (a 50BMG but prehaps thats too highpowered for US civilian owners?) or a Remington 700 [7.62x51mm, 7.62mm NATO] (M40A1) in bullet type.

a MP5/MP5K if possible though they could sound the exact same for all I know. If thre was a supressor too that would really be cool but its not needed I can morph and change it so theres basically one.

If you had an AK thatd be really cool too! But I dont think itd be available.

A shotgun of any type (auto mode or pump) but a M9 would work.

Thanks, a lot for any help!
