I know some of you here use this program to design maps for HL mods. I personally use it for desiging my house plans for the addition I am doing this spring. I have tried those 3d programs they sell in the store for doing this exact thing but none of them work as great as worldcraft, plus I am use to using this program....Anyway I enlarged my screen to only show the house in 3D textured polys. And I was wondering how I move the file from worldcraft to something like photoshop so I can print it out and take it to Copy World. Worldcraft saves the file in the rmf or .map format, would I be better off using the print screen button? if so thats a problem because the printer is at my parents house. There has got to be a way I can convert this file and use a diff program to bring it up and print it out....or not. Any suggestions? |

Or you can just compile it and live in the game forever.
Anyway, print screen is the only way I know of. What type of view do you need? The 2d one? _________________

I want the 3D view, I am also going to draw the floorplan in 3D view with really short wall heights, then Print the screen looking down on it.
This means I have to install worldcraft on my parents cpu so I can use their printer... or bring their printer to my house.... either way = pain in the ass. |

Except that hitting the print screen button doesn't do anything, nothing happens. Maybe my printscreen button is broke. No matter what is on my screen hitting that button does nothing. |

it does do something when you open a program like paint and you click copy.
printscreen button takes a snapshot of your desktop or whatever you are looking at and put's it on the clipboard. it's u[ to you to copy the pic into an appropriate(spell?) program. _________________ PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF =US-V= & VILLE $UPPORTER |

check out www.artifice.com the DesignWorkshop modeling/CAD thing, easy(er?) then worldcraft and wayyyy more powerful.. the crippleware version works for saving models up to a few hundred brushes or something, but you can get around that if it gets too big _________________
