I still cannot get the grudge server to come up i wana check hte new map out bad i even put my name as Ghanja420[LB] and it didnt work it..

what is the message for not getting in?
I was having problems for a while and had to enter from the half-life interface.

I have never been able to enter the grudge server from theville. I always have to enter from the TFC interface. I don't get errors, it just locks up.

You'll have to be using Xplugin if you're coming in through TheVille. If so, then you'll need to add in this line in your XPlug Options, under the extra command line field. Mine looks something like this -->

-noipx -console -game tfc +password limpchimp

The rest of the servers will just ignore the +password argument.

oops, didn't mean to show that. oh well, the secret's out. It's an override argument that allows you to cloak yourself under an invisibility shield so that you can stab people in the back without any harassment. I hear Frag uses it ALOT! Doesn't seem to work for me though, I still suck as a spy.

Actually beats me, I got this line from somewhere in a previous post.

It means that it doesnt try to use IPX if its bound on your PC and in turn that should free up more resouces for the game.

NO NO NO munk i try to add the ip address and the server just dont come up i know that there is a password on it lol

I have similar problems with 4,5 and 6 as well. I add the IP address and nothing shoes up afterwards. So I rotate around TV1, BR and The Hood just to get a variety.

When you add the server and nothing comes up, do you refresh? I have my filter set to favorites only, and when I refresh, all the servers I added appear.

If that still doesn't work, try using Update instead. That will refresh the database of TFC servers out there (in the thousands). You'll definitely see it there. Check your filters too at the same time.

9 times out of 10 your filters are screwy. You may have the "responded faster than" set to low, or you may have "are playing game" set on the wrong game. You might have "are not full" on and the server is full. Etc.

I keep my filter set to Favorites only, and no others. This way it always keeps things working pretty smoothly, regardless of response time and whether or not a server has anyone on it.
