I was curious as to what people are paying for houses.
A 2000 square house in the San Diego area on a acre of land is now about $350000.
It does not matter much what condition the house is in as it's mostly the land here.
Our energy bills are not low even though we do not heat much
Our gas is about 1.77 and up.
Food is like 4.86 for two gallons of milk
hamburger 30% is about 2.99
lettice is like 2.00 a head. _________________ Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering. |

isn't that the truth!
heres a related article...top 10 most expensive[and least] housing locations.
http://money.cnn.com/2003/10/21/pf/yourhome/homepricecomparison/
number 1 is in SD county, so naturally all other nearby locations feel the $$ oh and as you can see, both coasts control all 10 spots on the list...with Cali claiming 6 of 10. also, tornedo alley has 5 out of 10 of the least expensive. hEh _________________

A house around the lake - lake ontario - where I live is about $1, 000, 000 CND. Thats could be because its prime land on really old homes by the lake. Around where I live its about $500, 000 + CND for a home. Although the old townhouse I live in is about $175, 000 CND.

The avg in my area is $130,000.
I have a nice home in a small and quiet neighborhood. I may own it when I'm 70 something. But it's close enough to spit on my neighbor's house from my front porch. I wish I had more land but it's just not an option right now.
Elec bills are insane in a house. All those years of apartment life spoiled me. I pay more in water/elec/cable bills monthly than the cost of rent in my first apartment. |

Average size house around Vegas can run from about $120,000 on up. These houses are on little lots mind you. I have worked on some multi million $$ houses and those lots aren't much bigger. As Blown said I don't spend money on the food so I don't know how much that is here.
I do know that my electric bill during the summer will run around $220 on up and right now it is around the $100 range. _________________

My friend just sold his house for 350,000. Most of the house around here are about 500,000 though. One for sale on the next street is going for 1.5 million! _________________ for Blue |

Most "normal" houses down here reside on less than half an acre. If you can find a half acre, thats golden. with that and anywhere from 2500-3200 sq/ft could cost you 150,000 in an older neighborhood, or 190,000 in a new house.
Milk's about the same, and I just paid 1.35 for gas. _________________
