Here is the timeline Shovel was talking about:

http://www.greenwichtime.com/entertainment/sns-ap-film-matrix-timeline,0,414408.story?coll=sns-ap-entertainment-headlines

The machines did not have control over Smith because he was a renegade program who 'broke the rules' of what a program does after it is deleted. Smith was deleted when Neo jumped into him in the first Matrix, but Smith's programming by nature compelled him to stay in the Matrix. The machines do not recognize the program Smith (remember Link says in Reloaded "Agents just came out of nowhere, then the code got all weird, encryption I've never seen"), which is why they were unable to delete him. However, when Neo allows Smith to overtake him, the machines now have a direct link to the renegade program (the link being Neo connected to the Source) and are able to recognize Smith's programming, and thus, delete him

What the Oracle was talking about when she said we will see Neo again is seriously debatable. IMO, I think she meant that they will see another 'One' when he/she reappears, because The One is a systemic anomaly to the Matrix, and will always reappear.

Well, i dont know if anyone brought it up, or even answered yet (alot of text floating around). But in reloaded, what happened to the Ghost brother guys? They kinda made the ghost forms to heal, so when the truck exploded they made the ghost thingy majiggers to heal right? Well where the hell did they go. They looked quite allright to me, but, i didnt see anything of them again. And it seemed that in Reloaded that the French dude would have a helluva lot more of meaning than he did, remember "I have survived you're predecessors, and i will survive you" (sp?) So i was kinda left hanging on the ghost duo and french connection man.

I think the twins could only heal themselves if they were still alive to do it. The car explosion probably killed them outright.

I've already explained the Smith thing in my previous posts As Darkath said, by taking over Neo, Smith was returned directly to the source (which is how programs are deleted).

jeesus christ ive never seen such analysis of anything as this thread... anywho i missed the first 45mins fo the movie, it was alright i suppose, but im definately going to go see it again to see the first part... while i did like alot of it, there were an awful lot of "corny" things in it, one of the most being right after neo gets blinded and hast that half hour conversation with trinity and doesnt notice shes pinned to the floor.. ' i dont think im going anywhere' or whatever, gimme a break heh...

i like the first one the most, because it is more "real", you have to be looking at the 1st, and 2nd+3rd movies differently to enjoy them more than trying to look at them as the same, because they definately arent

and dont go to the imax theater in king of prussia PA and try to get into a show after it starts, we got there liek 20 mins after the movie started, and in tryign to print out the tickets for the show the computers crashed or something so we had to wait even longer...i shouldve complained and gotten new tickets, o well... :>

lol, the imax rc and I went to had some serious problems. The sound would cut off completely sometimes and then come back in off-sync. They eventually cancelled the showing in the middle of the battle for zion.

Well I think it's obvious that most people like the first one the most, because it was revolutionary. No movie like it had been made before, so no sequel or prequel to the Matrix will ever achieve the same 'awe' as the first one did.

I do agree with you Pond when you say that you have to look at them differently. So many of my friends didn't like Revolutions because they were comparing it to the 1st, saying "oh it didn't have...blah blah blah...like the first one did". I think many people also expected for Revolutions to answer all their questions about the Matrix. Most people don't realize that the Wachowski brothers do not hand answers out on a silver platter, and most people expected it that way. I will admit, I expected it to be that way, and I was suprised when it arose new questions, and I was kinda confused @ first. But the beauty of the Matrix, like I said before, is to leave the theater thinking "WTF!?" and figuring out what happened on your own.

they should have given some answers though. i liked how in reloaded when neo was talkin to the architect... it was extremely confusing when i was in the theater but it gave me information that i wanted.

i think they spend too much time out of the matrix in reloaded and revolutions. if they spent more time in the matrix it would definately be better in my opinion. they could have done a little better with incorporating the matrix into the plot i think. also... it was seriously dumb as hell when neo was blinded... like as soon as that happened i was like ok now its gay as shit.

the french dude definately should have had a bigger part in this movie. i thought he was going to have a big part and was kind of dissappointed when he only had like 8 lines.

overall id say it was worth the money to see it and i would go see it again. if they would have taken more time on it i think it would have been a great movie.

What? Almost the entire Reloaded movie was "in" the matrix.

Errr...

Reloaded:
Starts off in matrix
Goes to reality
Goes to matrix
Goes to reality for a bit
Goes to matrix for a bit
Goes to reality
Freeway scene (looooong matrix time)
The rest is all matrix with little reality

All the action had to take place out of the matrix in Revolutions. Smith was taking over and Zion was having some fun with the sentinels.
