WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!
Cable just became available at my "new" house (new to me anyway). It really sucks only having dial-up. I have put in an order and am waiting to see when they can install it!
Man I'm telling you that it really sucked without a high speed connection!
WOOOOOOOOOT!
Well that may be a bit premature. I'll give a real WOOOOOT!! when it is installed and actually working.

Good luck Duke. Being on 56 would suck...well it does. hehe
My wife and I were talking about that last night if we had to make a choice between cable TV or high speed internet.
the Internet connection won!

Dial up isn't great, but it's not the end of the world with it. I did really well when I had AOL for the last month, and barely had a 36.6 connection. It's not the connection, but how you deal with it that is key.

I agree with that decision ROOFCUTTER, at least the cable internet is interactive, the cable tv just stares back and you and takes your money.

Dial-up is alright but as they said it takes getting used to. I just got my cable modem back after about a month haitus, and during that time TFC wasn't that bad after the first week. BUT browsing web sites and downloads killed me;not to mention that damn connecting tone.
Also during this time I had my only experiance with CONNECTION PROBLEM appering in red letters at top of screen, gotta hate that |

The first time I played with cable, I was amazed at how slow these people moved. With my dial-up, I would get tiny little bits of lag (and my fps wouldn't go above 20). The net effect of this was to make it seem like these people were moving much faster than they actually do.
