I have one problem left and im pretty damn stumped.
A rental company purchases a truck for $19,500. The truck requires $6.75 per day for maintenaince. Find the follwing linear functions:
A) The cost of owning the truck for (d) days.
B) The revenue received from renting the truck for (d) days at %55.00 per day.
C) The profit realized from renting the truck for (d) days.
If anyone has any ideas on some equations any replies would be greatly appreciated!!! _________________

The first one I think is basic algaebra:
6.75 x d = $d days?
6.75 x the number of days = the cost of keeping the truck. So if they kept it for two days itd be $13.5.

A) cost = initial + daily
cost = $19,500 + $6.75d (where d is number of days)
B) revenue = $55.00d
C) profit = revenue - cost
profit = 55d - (19,500 + 6.75d)
profit = 48.25d - 19,500
D) break even point, profit = 0
19,500/48.25 = 404.14 days
You would have to rent this truck out for 405 straight days until you turn a profit from it.
Yes, Math Nerds rule again!!!
