I just have a quick question about system configs on http://www.ncix.com/pcbuilder/index.php?action=config&id=1167077&platformid=1001. I would like to get a new system - one thats good for games but can also run anything that I may want (like 3DSMAX 4.0, PhotoShop Elements, etc). I want it mainly for games however I will be working on a HL2 MOD as well. That being said I would probably need a pretty generic gamer pc with a fairly good vc - 9600 pro is what Im guessing. JD gave me the link to NCIX and I must say that their "make your own PC" is a great solution and their canadian so thats even better. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here could produce their ultimage system what would it be? Im trying to figure out whats stable and whats not and also whats *the best* for the best price. My price range is about $1500 - 2000 MAX. Therefore if you could have any affordable PC in that price range what would it be? NOTE: it should be from NCIX.

Tater, I have been bad and have not gotten back to you on things yet.

Tomorrow the 26th Intel is announcing a whole bunch of CPU price cuts so you may be able to save $50ish on the CPU depending on what Intel does. I would take a wait and see attitude on that at least.

I will comment a little later on the rest of the hardware and then we can go from there.

Hmm I dont think that NCIX is changing their prices for CPUs. Even still its ok I gotta wait for a bit anyways. I just wanna get the base idea down. Any suggestions? Should I go for a better VC? I dunno - Ive been out of the hardware loop for about two years now.

Ok, a new system - my friend knows a really cool place that sells decals you can put on your PC (some being bullet holes - glass and metal - and blood splatters [guess what Im gunna have on the side of my PC ). I also changed the processor - going for a better bus and procesor. I cut out the DVD player (going to get one with a CD Burner later on) the total has also changed - is the mainboard compatible? Tell me what you think plz!
