I doubt it... After those bozo's let the source code get stolen HL2 will just be going through the quarterly updates to combat all of the newly created exploits that have been generated with the stolen code. Besides with steam being at the head of this fiasco even when HL-2 is released to the public who wants to put up with this piece of crap bombing out every other game ? Pfffft! Not me.......  HL-2

I remember reading that they released steam bc hl2 needs it for multi or something . Besides I dont understand why everyone is so ticked off at steam. The worst Ive gotten is the text being messed in game and that only happens for a few seconds when I press TAB 1/10 games.
