If I want to become a medical doctor or pharmacologist, what courses in High school/medical school should I look into? |

In high school I would take the AP levels of Biology and Chemistry, and maybe a few years of Latin. Other than that you can choose whatever classes you want. _________________

i guess i would agree with what everyone else said. I think more will depend on what you actually take in college. but every little bit can help. but i really have no idea about being a doctor. _________________

Ditto, also check with your High School, some have special programs that allow you to work like an interm. A buddy of mine did a Program that allowed him to work in the Fort Worth Medical Examiners Office for a year. Also do really good on your grades in High School to make sure you have a good pick of universities to go to. |

Use to you had to get a 4 year degree first, but I understand that a lot of kids are allowed to bi-pass that. Very Scary!!! Most of the Docs I know today don't know one end of a pen from the other. If you want to be another dumb doctor then go a head and skip to Med-School. Another problem with students going to Med-School first that a lot of them bearly pass. I believe I saw that the average passing grade from U.S. Med-Schools is 72%. When looking at your Doctor it makes you wonder what the other 28% was that he failed on. |
