yea uhh i was just wondering if anyone remembers me from jul 2002 i played for awhile till my tfc screwed me over, but know i have a new comp and i need someone to walk me through getting tfc back on this comp, cause i have forgotten how, so if u can help pm me and if any of the elite people remember me please reply to this thread... i miss hoax!

install from your cd then install steam. then let it update. are you on a dsl line?

nah im on cable... i have the cd and i will do that but i already have steam but i think its strictly for counterstrike... i just got it like 3 hours ago should i have gotten the full steam? if so can u give me a link?

1) Install your H-Life game
2)Download the HL1110.exe from the file section here (This will install TFC)
3)Start Half-Life. Go to Custom Game and Activate Team Fortress Classic.
4)Close Half-Life.

(You may want to also download and install Day of Defeat also from here and install it so in case you ever want to play it)

5)Download the full Steam Client Right Here
6)Let this installation do it it's thing and after everything is done Reboot.
7)*Note if steam crashes 3 consecutive times no-matter how many times you reboot it will scan it's entire 730 meg file catalog for the problem (Your Hard-Drive will sound as if it were defragging itself. Don't reopen steam let it finish. (Sometimes it takes 15 minutes to complete depending on the speed of your cpu)

That should do it

well my steam wont work... i d/l the patch (full) from this site in the download section and i upgraded it then i went into half life but my team fortress i con WONT work... uhh so i got out and tried to see if it would work, but now when i try to get into steam it says "this program has performed an illegal operation. this program wil now shut dowwn"sso i dont know what to do.... help pleaze
