DOH! So it represents cells. Hmmmmm... I could've sworn it was steel. I thought hard about it and after the watching Tampa Bay get their arses handed to them I remembered for some reason the Steelers helmet. I thought it had the symbol for steel on it. Aren't they the same thing or am I going crazy.

LOL Great story TYO.
But for me? Whew, where do I begin? There are so many embarrassing moments...
In no particular order...
Soon after getting to be a regular at the Ville I got into a confused argument with someone I thought was our mayor about telling respawn campers to stop. This Robert E. Lee told me to stop asking them to stop. In the middle of one of my comments I used the words "server" and "suck" in describing the llamas' actions. I was immediately kicked by the server and thought the Mayor did it. I sent him an email and was all hurt and ready to leave the Ville when he responded, "It wasn't me Finger."
Then, of course the classic, forgetting your team color. And my favorite variation of it, when I am playing a class that can't see his arms and the color of the uniform. So, I stand there for a second trying to switch weapons until I can see his arms to note the color and get killed by the enemy. This is especially embarrassing since I could hit tab and see my team in a moment.
Running the wrong way on Warpath and gleefully jumping on the CP in your own base shouting "Cap 4 I've got 5!"
The fact that I had been playing the game for a loooong time before I realized that some packs in 2fort had grenades and others didn't.
Although, I've never done it on the Ville, its no fun as a bodyguard to accidentally close the garage doors on the Hunted civilian as he tries makes his escape.
And maybe this is a new one, but I always thought that "cells" icon for the engy wrench looked like shirt buttons. I couldn't tell you why there were shirt button icons there, but that's what they look like.
And lastly, being an HW and seeing a soldier with a crowbar, switching to crowbar to have a fair fight, and catching a rocket in the teeth. Sucker!
Yes, if its embarassing, in the game or in real life, I've probably done it. I know I have posted comments here that I thought were funny while I was posting them, only to regret them later.
Oh well, without embarrassing moments, we would never experience the sensation of ears burning, shame filled self hate, or the temporary cessation of the passage of time, right?
As long as I draw breath, you can all count on me to make a fool of myself occasionally.

hmmm...I remember once there was some hw attacking our respawn. There were no regulars on the server, so I decided to "enlighten" everyone about the server rules. Firstly, I asked the hw to stop attacking the respawn, and explained to him the rules. I politely asked him to stop 2 or 3 times, yet he did not answer, I started to get mad and proceeded to yell at him and threaten to have him banned. He did not answer me and soon some of my teammates were laughing. Now I was pissed, because the llama would not listen to me and my teammates were treating me like an idiot.
It took me about 20 minutes to realise that I had been typing in teamchat the whole time .

Mine would have to be the same thing as frags. It was Christmas Eve day and a bunch of regulars were on playing xmaswell. I had been on Red forever, then I switched to blue. The game started, I was a sniper, I found another blue sniper in the middle where took out my autorifle and began to kill myself. Sad part is I acutally did commit suicide. **shakes his head in shame** |

well i've been here since it was avantiville, since there was no website.. although i havn't been around much i thought it finally time to get off my lazy @ss and register on the forums..
Anyway i think my most embarasing moment would have to be when i first came here, i wans't a newbie at all, i was a pro sniper, but mirror damage i had never seen.. so the first few times around i would fire at somebody who wasn't moving right, a suspected spy and get a load of health taken off, naturally i turned around to find someone behind me and i open fire, killing myself, i respawn and mummble to myself... damn spies ..., and go and hide in a corner somewhere paranoid and out of the way to pictch my tent and wait for him to come out from hiding.
This would continue for a few games until i realized, by looking at the kills that i was killing myself.. after i finished feeling like an ass, my game improved. |

Another one of mine is on Warpath. I got past the d and was just hiding outide the enemy base. I told them "cap 4 and we win." They capped 4...then Frag got arrogant and decided to grenade jump to victory. You can probably guess what happened. |

funny, frag. my moment was when i just joined TheVille and i thought that those telsa MG's upgraded by spyes were hacked flags for capturing points. i tried to pick it up a few times, but i was always getting killed by lightning, funny. then i saw a few at our base a tried to blow them up. my team was pissed. ehhehe, that was cool.

I'm not sure whether this actually happened, but I think I remember from a LONG time ago being a medic and an enemy medic killed me with his medkit... it takes like 3 life per hit? *shudder*
as for events on The Ville that are embarassing, it was probably when I was asked to upgrade an MG that I had to rocket jump to... took me about 30 tries (I'm not a very good rocket jumper) and 4 or 5 suicides...
