Or maybe you just have a virus or maybe your comp is having a non-violent protest.

I have not a clue to why your pc is doing what it's doing after using this program. It worked fine on my 98se box. Uninstall it and then fall back a day before the installation is all I can recommend doing

SHAFT gave me a link to a place that can help you if you're experiencing system lag or whatever it is slowwing your comp down. I will attest that these guys rock, and the step by step is in fact, the shizzy. Readyroom.org
This is to the step by step instructions. **I make no claims for these guys, other than it worked on my comp, if yours gets hosed, I Will either laugh, or cry, depending on how much it will cost you, but I won't be responsible for your comp going boom or something equally nasty, yet quieter in nature**

Do a full scan disk and a defrag. Its probably just because you either have errors in WXP or because your computers really fragmented.

Did you check what processes are running in the background? Use Ctrl-Alt-Delete and check your processes. You can also try a program like adaware to get rid of any spyware.
