I was curious about this incident so I wrote PETA and this was the response that I got. Maybe the male thought the bushy haired lady as another male cat possibly mistaking her bushy hair as being that of a maine you find on most adult male lions.
What an idiot! They need to capture that dumb woman and teach her to do tricks for scooby snacks !

Actually I was referring to Roy making a recovery . Although they have every right to make their point it was just poor timing. Wait till he's out of critical condition at least, hehe. _________________

The trainers that are hired for S&R generally come from a place in north eastern washington that specializes in big cats called Cat Tails. Ive been to this park and ive seen first hand how well trained the staff are. If the tigers were being mistreated, the trainers would notice. Cat Tails is reputed to be the best park specializing in big cats and has the most rigorous training process (with like 4 in 60 students actually completing the training).
I guess what Im trying to say is that the tigers have a good life and Roy was not attacked because of mistreatment. I heard that Roy stumbled. Thats probably why he was attacked because when he stumbled he showed weakness and the instincts of the tiger were to become top cat as they probably viewed Roy as.
Anyway, just my $.02 _________________
