Good Day All,

I have Steam installed and running. In many ways I like it for what that endorsement is worth. Anyway, do you all remember the TFC Realism Pack? Surprisingly, I never realized how many people played without it and what they missed as a result of that. It's a 2MB file that replaces sounds and some sprites in the TFC HalfLife folder. I opened that realism pack and dragged and dropped them into the appropriate Steam directory. It did appear to overwrite the files in that directory. However when I play, I still see and hear the original new model tfc sights and sounds. Has anyone had success with this file or does anyone have a suggestion? I'd be happy to send the pack to anyone who would like to try it. I want to put an aggressive effort into fixing this problem because there is a signifiacnt increase in game quality or 'realism'. Well worth the effort. Thanks in advance.

Sounds go in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\blah@yahoo.com\team fortress classic\tfc\sound

Sprites go in C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\blahblah@yahoo.com\team fortress classic\tfc\sprites

Just like Sierra but Steam line

I tried the realism pack and I didn't like it. I liked how TFC looked and sounded originally and with the realism pack, it just didn't seem like TFC.

You know, I've been playing with the realism pack for so long that I don't even remember most of the original sounds and sprites :O
