you can make the gold chocobo fly, oh well, i never got into ff9 or the whole chocobo thing after ff7 i got sick of runnin around and findin chocobos but i know alot about ff8 cause its the best one, except for ff3 or ff6 both are the same, and it is the best one of em all

well in a way they did, each game has different characters, except for ff tactics, cloud and arith are in that game, but that one sucked anyway

To get the gold chocobo to fly you've got to collect all the artifacts first.(you already knew that though) Then he should just fly when you're in worldmap view. I forgot exactly how it works, haven't played 9 in a while.
