Go White Sox!

Oh wait, Jerry Manuel managed a perfectly good team out of the playoffs. GG Jerry! I listened to the WGN broadcast on the net last night. Steve Stone's predicting a short series for the Cubs. If they win tonight, I'd tend to agree. The Braves really got by on smoke and mirrors. Cubs fans know that players with "career" years usually fall back to earth when the Playoffs hit. Here's why I thought the Cubs were and are the better team in spite of winning 14 less games than the Braves

Russ Ortiz - Not as good as people think
Javy Lopez - He'll get the money and go back to hitting 18-25 HR's (not 42.) At least Todd Hundley doesn't hold the record for Catchers anymore.

Robert Fick - He should go back to Detroit
Vinny Castilla - Give him a slider and watch him "grab some bench"
Braves Bullpen - Ray King and Roberto Hernandez (who's like 65) don't exactly scare me.

As much as I don't like the Cubs beause I am a Sox fan. You can't help but like what they've put together. If there's a town and a team that deserves to lose. It's Atlanta with the worst fans in all of sports and a team that has won one World Series in the past 11 tries. Even the Red Sox, Indians, White Sox, or Cubs could win one World Series if they got to the playoffs 12 years in a row.

grats to the Cubbies...it's only one game. Remember 1984. Win the series and advance (for the first time since 1908) before you celebrate a bit too much.
