Ummmm. . . . . . Lead Foil?
You may have a slight problem seeing the screen, but the energy emitted will be reduced to nearly nothing!

A spectrum radiation screen built for a lap top i have on my computer and it works good (well never have had a computer iwth out it)

I think the "energy emitted from the laptop screen" is just light.  They are just trying to look smart, while they are really just making it harder for you. Maybe they should just lower the brightness.....

the old old old mointor (its seriously the 2nd computer we ever owned) is a 13" POS from like 1994, curved liek a beachball, and im sure it pours out so many x-rays and crap im going to get a tumor...i can belive i used to play tfc on it heh, even with all the brighness and contrast all the way up its getting really really dim... such a difference to be on a real monitor heh
