Boston deserves it more than any major league team, because they've had so many upsets when they have been in the World Series

Umm no you theres such a thing called tradition that was my grandfathers favorite team and so it is mine BTW you get what you pay for or so I've heard There are so many Yankee haters and they always whine about the Yankees you don't see us whining when the Yankees lose but people always whine when the Yankees win
As long is there is no cap in MLB it is your teams responsibility to spend money to field a quality team end of story sports teams have been that way forever you spend you win simple math. _________________

You every hear of a team called the Braves or perhaps even the Giants?

Ever seen the Brave's pitching staff? Is R. Ortiz going to pitch them to the World Series? He's just AS soft as Glavine, and they're no better without him. More Offense, No pitching = No chance at a championship.
Giants? Who the hell are they? No better than last year. They benefitted from Arizona's falling out. |

Probably what makes baseball so boring is that it is extremely slow.
"Pitcher looks up. Pitcher acts he's going to throw the ball. Pitcher stops. Pitcher walks around a bit. Pitcher grabs the white bag thing. Pitcher looks around. Pitcher walks around. Pitcher looks up. Pitcher gets ready to throw. Pitcher does a fake weak kind of throw, so he can ready himself for the real throw. Pitcher walks around. Pitcher looks up. Pitcher throws to 1st/2nd/3rd base to stop an imaginary steal. Pitcher waits to recieve the ball again. Pitcher grabs the white bag thing. Pitcher walks around. Pitcher looks up. Pitcher resets his foot positioning. Pitcher throws the ball!"
All that time for one pitch. There has been times when a pitcher got only 3 throws in after 9-10 minutes. You also have to remember to add in time wasted for when the batter steps out and practices a bit or resets his footing, when the manager calls conferences, all the time wasted between innings, and the various times when managers decide to switch out players JUST before the pitcher is about to throw the ball, or JUST before a batter is going up to bat. Baseball is fun to play, but is the most boring sport to watch.

I see Yankee fans whine and cry all the time. |
/me remembers a certain time when Yankees fans decided to pour beer on to an opposing player during a game
/me remembers times when Yankees fans would boo their team whenever they were behind.
/me remembers times when Yankees fans would yell insults to opposing players
Yankees fans do whine, as almost anybody from every team does sometimes. When I did watch baseball, I never whined when the Yankees won. They are (maybe was now, I don't know anything about baseball anymore) a good team with lots of money and talented people. If they win, they win, it's not much different then having the Cowboys beaten by a great team. _________________

LOL, well I don't think it's like that ALL the time, but yes, baseball at times can be boring. But when there is action going on, it is probably the funnest thing to watch

Well what about the Minnesota Twins? If I remember the statistic correctly, the Yankees spend more on one player than the Twins do on their entire roster, and they seem to be doing fine...check the standings

Plus the Yankees have won the World Series 20+ times, I think they can afford to sit this one out, and let teams who actually deserve to win (Cubs, Red Sox) go to the World Series
P.S. Boston vs. Chicago in the World Series would be awesome _________________
