you will not find the ville servers simply cause they aren't running steam yet.

are you using a game you borowed from somebody? or using a key you found on the internet?
thats the only reason i can think of that would give you such a message.  i could be completly wrong though.

yes cobra u are wrong it just gives u that message when running steam and attempting to connect to a non steam server

is there anyway around that i am not able to get into the ville servers now  besides unistalling it..man this is bs...good thing some of u guys here know whats going on to help us less fortunate in this area.....i just want to play dam it

| You dont have to uninstall Steam. Just reinstall HL in a different directory and you'll have old won games. |

TV7 will be updated to STEAM sometime today, Monday the 22nd. Let me know how things are running there. For those that don't know the password for TV7 is accelerated .

this is from the steam forum:
Invalid Steam User ID Ticket error - fix
This is dead simple to fix.
1. Logout of steam and kill it.
2. Start up steam and login as normal.
Some people have reported that using the 'remember password' function on the login screen will cause this to happen too, so make sure you dont select this option and just login with your password manually.
This is another one of those simple-to-cure problems that have been annoying the hell out of lots of people.
Please post a reply if this fixes the problem for you, that way the thread will keep getting bumped up the lists and people will see it quicker. You might want to rate it too - just do anything to make it easier for people to get this answer.

I kept mine  . It was an option when I installed, it let me decide to get rid of the old ones, or to keep them. I chose to keep.

Yeah, I did that too. I'm gonna keep it untill Steam gets an update that gets rid of the LAN validation.
