Steam:client.dll

I finally managed to install it well enough to play DoD. THe trick was to copy my entiere dod folder into email/half-life/dod (as someobdy mentioned here). I did the same thing with TFC, however it seems my cl_dll/client.dll file is not the same as the servers I tried to join. Any ideas about that?

Maybe it would be even simpler if somebody send me his file (already working with Steam of course).

Its wierd cause my TFC is the only mod that doesnt even have a client.dll and I can play. Try moving the file out of there and see if that works. DOD/TS/HL all have that file. Got me.

Can anyone sign into the friends network. Mine hasnt worked since yest.

I havn't been able to log into Steam all day. Apprently the network has been down since 3pm or earlier, and is still down now (8pm CST).

Did you copy things over from your previous install? If so, that could be a problem if steam didn't update it correctly.

Had the same problem Paddy for some reason it doesn't like when you move the whole tfc folder over.I used the TFC installer 270 MB omfg gg Valve and it worked.Then move over your sprites configs etc. and it will work fine.

Looks like steam learned from thier little mishap with bandwidth. NOT!

That little update was downloading at a speedy 1kb/sec for me. I sure hope they get their act together before they do any large updates.
