I got all those errors within a minute span #Fist . The funny thing is there are no minors in this house that use a computer, except for Frag of course.

I cannot get steam to run. I've been trying to get it running for the last 45 minutes. I tried rebooting, clicking the icon hundreds of times. I even talked nicely to it, NOTHING.

Steam was a great idea. I would like to shake the hand of the asshole who came up with this idea

LOL its been downloading a 130mb file since yest, its download over 230mb so far. Good goddamn program.

Is it normal for it to take like 2-3 minutes just for the stoopid program to load. I double click on the icon, and magically about 3 minutes later it shows up. When it does, it says the network is offline, even though the servers show at half capacity.

My steam install finally works. I figured out what was up with it doing
nothing when I tried to start a game (a game that was labled 'ready to
play'):

Half-life itself wasn't finished downloading. (Why did it copy all those files
from my CD install? This still makes 0 sense.)

Really, the dependencies are not being properly explained to the end
user, and this thing about downloading files you already have... WTF
Valve?

If thats the case, this is going to take forever at 3-5kb/sec.

Hate to be a meanie on that one, but that's a standard windows
erorr message. Windows put the quotes there, not Steam.

I had to yet uninstall it and reinstall it again cause when I refresh the servers it again killed my Internet connection. Which after the third time of this process it still kills my internet connection. I think this program hates my computer for some reason.
