im out of the loop cause of school. whys everyone talking about steam? is everyone going to have to have it to play games soon????

Valve is taking down WON and making Steam mandatory. Many people don't like it for many reasons. I don't like it because it's a 500MB download and LAN games need to have a internet connection to validate.

seriously , so in layman terms if i want to have a lan party with my 3 puters at home and lets say that my isp went down i would not be able tp do it because of this??? thats just crap in doing that what does it intend to prove. that all puters are not using one copy of hl or what.
man i better go do some reading

It might also be a big problem for the ville. If everyone is going to be unbanned, are they all gonna come back and cause problems?
