What happened to Clan wars?

i have been playing team fortress for about 4 years now..

back then Clans were organized.. we had organized clan wars every week.. which could be observed by other players with a thing called "observe".. they cant play just watch.. it was great.. webpages, communicate through ICQ or IRC.. rosters.. 20 on 20 clan wars... practice wars within the clan..

now.. in 2002 with the best graphics ive ever seen with tfc.. there is nothing.. only good servers ive found are "the ville".. they do a great job mantaining the servers and the webpage.. the stats.. back then.. i would have never dreamed they could record every move i made.. i thought this was a great idea.. but all the clan activity died..

i just wanted to tell all the members at the ville.. GET MORE CLAN ACTIVITY AND THE VILLE WILL BE THE BEST SERVERS EVER.. thats my 2 cents on the ville clan activity..

Clan Wars have become Clan Leagues - OGL being a prime example of it.
You get regular matches and play for rank in the league (or ladder or tournament).

Oh and you can't have been playing for 4 years - at least not TFC - Halflife is only 3 years, 3months old!
