Am I hearing things?

Every time I open a page in the forum a drop plays "Innnnstant Message." Is that something you added today or late yesterday? It's driving me INSANE!!!!

That means you have a private message. Look up and click the private message button. It's always played that sound.

Hey don't feel bad. The first time someone sent me a private message on this forum it took me a while to figure out why that sound played.

Prodigy was my first internet provider way back when, and that was one of their "Instant Message" sounds.

I have all my instant message sound bites set to HALs' "There's a message for you" from 2001 a Space Oddity and the "Dave...You can't just ignore me Dave" soundbite from the same movie. That computer voice is kinda creepy.

I had just installed some software when I got the private message so my first thought was that the install had reset my sound files but I couldn't find any messages. About the third time I went to the website it clicked in my head what it was.

It says, that just like the rest of us. It's just a stumble in the dark with brief moments of light than back to the dark.
