Were there any players on the server? If you care about fps that much, get HL Booster. I use that and it works really well.

It depends on a lot of things. 100fps is max on a server without the booster. I put it on mine and it jumped from 100 to 300 something. It only works for dedicated server though.

Higher fps is better. And I'm not sure about reasonable. As I said, it depends.

i think 64fps is a pretty decent rate. i've played with between 10-15 before, and still done pretty good.

I'd say, for dod, anything below 50 fps client side is unacceptable. Also, was your computer low on resources afer you shut kazaa down? My computer's resources like to deplete themselves after I've shut a program down sometimes.

Why would your server to be running at 300 fps Stevo? I don't know how servers use fps, but client side max is 100. If you can run at 100 fps, your game should be smooth like a baby's bottom.

HL Booster uncaps it somehow to get that. If you look at some of the TV servers it will say how many fps in the startup.

And you can get it at United Admins. I don't know a link, but look there.

Hope this helps.

What do you mean try again, isn't Linux different than Windows. Also is c-d good to keep cheaters off server.

I changed the link.

Here it is again if you still don't get it:
http://hullu.xtragaming.com/files/booster_mm-1.70.zip

And c-d is annoying IMO. Just get HLGuard. I know it doesn't help much, but it's better than nothing.
