Whats the difference between an infection kill and a timer kill or are they the same? I know one has no modifier but it looks like the medic gets 2 kills for every infection kill...plz advise...

http://www.theville.org/hlstats/hlstats.php?mode=help.

Try this it gives all the answers you seek.

The infection is something you do with the med kit while touching the enemy.
A timer kill is when you infect and then run off leaving the enemy to die a slow death.

No, the timer is worth nothing as far as kills or skill points are concerned. The infection is what counts as the kill for points. But both are tracked in the stats, because usually when you have one, you have the other.

You say when you have one you usually have the other...this is incorrect...if you have one you will have the other and it will be exactly the same number of kills...go to weapons stats...look at timer and infection kills...they will ALWAYS be the same number...go to timer kills and click on any or EVERY medic with a timer kill...the medic will ALWAYS have the same number of infection kills...the odds of this happening without timer/infection kills be counted in both columns are impossible...think of how many players are infected that are healed or die from grenade or lead poison...infection to timer kills should be at least 3 or 4 to 1...you dont get an infection without the other player dying from it...looking at the numbers and using simple logic proves this.

All that the timer does is it counts the seconds until you are hurt by the infection. The timer tells the infection when to hurt you, so it is till on when you die. That's why it is counted as a weapon. Also, there is no timer with the kills from an actual medpack
