Have any of you guys thought about putting together a team, and playing in some competitions n tournments.... could be useful for attracting more ppl to "The Ville",especially if you do good.
You probably a know about loads competions in America, but i dont suppose u've heard of wireplay.
http://tfc.wireplay.co.uk/
I know i'd love to see a ville team kickass in one of these tournments.. and hey some of them are even shown on TV. |

Well, TheVille (or rather, FragFailure) has hosted two previous seasons of TheVille League. Season one was a great success in my opinion, because it was a battle of the clans that regularly pub here. The clans treated it as they would STA, UGC, TFL etc.
Unfortunately, the championship clan of season one was a little...stacked... and in all fairness the Clan vs. Clan format was pitched out. The revised TVL format for season featured the draft system. People who wanted to play put their names on a list, and Frag chose four leaders to sequentially draft players for their team. Team size was increased from 5v5 to 7v7. It all looked good in print, but it just didn't work out.
The players didn't attend regularly, which resulted in a sad amount of forfeits. It may have been because the players who lacked league experience disregarded the responsibility of showing up... or players didn't actually feel like part of a team... or Friday night temptations got the best of them... or any number of reasons. Final outcome: The cancellation of TVL.
Even before TVL, there used to be a 'Ville Cup tournament. People would organize a 5v5 team with two backups to play in an 8 (or 16?) team tournament. I'm not exactly sure why this was cancelled. Maybe because lack of people willing to organize it or league people complaining about lax match rules. Whatever the reason, the Cup has collected much dust since the last tournament. The Ville Brotherhood might be continuing their own TVB Cup, but I'm not sure about that.
Every so often there is a more specific type of competition. For example, Shaft once hosted a Tayconc run tournament. KRG hosts several <Insert TFC Class Name> Warz every once in awhile too.
I would personally like to maybe see some more conc runs, contrived wars, or even a possible renewal in the 'Ville Cup tournament. But, that's just me. _________________

LOL I misread your post. Go me. Umm... njk could be considered a 'Ville team really. Any competitive guild out of here would probably consist mostly of us. But, if say TVR or TVB were up to it, might represent a Ville team better. I'm not sure if they want to draw a real competitive crowd here though. I dunno. MAYBE A VILLE WINTER CPL TEAM! _________________

The Ville by nature hasn't gona the competitive route. There are members of NJK, PWG, and BR that play in leagues. But the overall Ville attitude is to play for fun, spam, and be non competitive. _________________ Yes, I'm still around
