Get some software programs or tapes, thats partially how I learned German and Russian, they help but the best method is just practice and hearing it alot, like watchign movies or stuff in the chosen language. (Though Rammstein doesnt speak very clear German, they wouldnt be a good teaching tool lol)
(German's not that hard to learn considering they only really have one new letter from english, Russian on the other hand ) |

Err...I dunno about german being easier to learn...I've talked to my brother. They have, what? 9 different ways to say "the" in different scenarios? German seemed pretty confusing.
BTW I'm starting my second year of Spanish in 2 weeks or so. I've failed at learning the english language, so they're trying a new language for me to communicate with. _________________

yeah there are lots of way to say 'the' and some other words, but once you memorize the basic properties of word gender, tense, and the subject it's not too tricky (compared to Russian and many other languages which have a completely new alphabet, German just has special vowels and what is basically a double 's'). You also have to memorize the word endings in consideration of the above factors, but its just about a standard set for the word types. |

Don't go to that site, it doesn't translate accurately, well, at leat not in German.
I'm on my 4th year of German at the moment, it's getting pretty boring, cos it's all the same.
Just remember to learn the endings of all the verbs, and you'll do fine |

This is a good site for german words.... DIH is German so I am in the habit of translating "phrases" and saying them in German to him...
I don't know why it embarasses him.... noone else around knows german!
Oh dictionary.com has a good translator also. _________________
