I die too much in first person shooters to like CS. The dead people chatting are imature, too. The last people alive are usually camping, not trying to plant/find/defuse the bomb or rescue the prisoners. There's usually this clan that's all on one side and probably all cheat.

You can't camp in dod ... the flags don't move .. you have to move yourself to get them. If all u do is camp, u might get me once .. but the next time your a gone because I kno where you are camping now.
I can see mg's and snipers camping thats what they do, give heavy fire and shoot long distances. As for every other class the goal isn't to camp, but you have to balance camping and moving. Sometimes you need a little more camping than pushing up. A man one time I was playing with told me this after we had a little conversation, I said "You can't camp and shovel people to win the game," he replied "Well if you shovel them enough they get embarrassed" this is true also, sometimes you have to shovel a few people
In CS their is 2 different goals pending on map, the terrorists camp or the ct's camp and and the other team has to storm a place, get hostages, plant the bomb, or escort the VIP. In DOD their is 1 goal, kill or be killed and capture all the flags. For either side that is the same goal. I've played CS for about a year and 3 months. I think DOD is extremely fun compared to CS. People say that CS is a realistic mod, but IMHO, it is extremely unrealistic. I'm not saying this out of spite, but out of personal experience. There have been times where I shot an entire 30 bullet clip from an AK47 at point blank range into a guy, while I was crouching and not moving (improved accuracy) and EVERY SINGLE BULLET MISSED. Realizing that someone was behind him, he turned and, while standing and moving, shot me twice with a pistol and I died. Also, if you want to get any kills with a smg in CS< you have to either hit their head (a couple of times for some of them), or riddle them with at least 7 bullets.
In CS, if you get shot once in the arm by a pistol, you drop down to the speed of a slug for 6 seconds. Granted that dod does have it odd moments like that (ever get hit by a grenade before it goes off in dod? Same thing happens)

Summary: CS is a wanna-be-realistic mod of terrorists and counter-terrorists, with a bunch of whining, bitching, asshole players that are almost all complete stath00rs/campers/hackers, along with a messed up weapon system.
Dod is a very realistic world war 2 mod with a nice class and weapons system, with semi-camping, more teamwork, less bitchy players, and is altogether a better game.

[edit] Oh yeah, the recoil and accuracy in dod is about 3928504395830458x better than CS [/edit]

Though CS is some what unrealistic it's not all unrealistic, if you want me to show u what ur talking about I could, but if u get shot with a pump shot gun as point blank range ur gonna die in CS, I dunno where u saw someone live from it, pump in the chest or head and they are gonna die, the pump isn't a long range gun though. Thats why they have an option of guns based on what route u take to obtain your objective. You have to be a little better as CS to understand, the hit boxes on CS I think are more defined ... different hit boxes just about every pixel on your screen. Ryal's 2 cents

I played CS for awhile, and I did get alright at the game. I realized looooong before my AK incident ever happened that the AK isn't a gun that you spam with. What I'm saying though, it that I was no less than 3 feet away from the guy. Now, in real life, I can understand if you're a little nervous and miss the first couple of shots. Or if you're not used to it's recoil and end up shooting the ceiling or something. But I'm supposed to be a trained CT. Now IMO, if I spam or not, I should hit this guy that's standing right in front of me with at least ONE bullet.

As for the pump shotgun......I understand that's it's not an "accurate" gun. An enemy and I were dancing around each other in close range. I managed to shoot all of my bullets some how, and then I died while trying to reload. My kill list came up stating who I'd killed and damaged that round, and apparently I had hit the guy 4-5 times with the pump, doing 90 or so dmg.
I do understand that you have a choice of guns for a reason, and I did adjust which gun I bought according to my team and map. I'm not stupid

Also, the hitboxes in CS are barely more defined at all. I'm pretty sure there are only a couple more hitboxes in CS then there are in TFC (there are 20 hitboxes on default TFC models). The hitboxes in CS are of course different, since the player models are placed into different positions.
CS hitboxes, however, are slightly messed up. While there are different models in CS (leet krew, artic people, blahblahblah), their hitboxes are all the same. So while I might shoot at leet krew guy, and miss the model's head by a bit, the server might still say I hit him.
This also raises another problem. Since the CS hitboxes don't follow the model they are covering exactly, you can hit parts of their body that you shouldn't have hit. The best example would be their head. The hitbox covering the back of the models in CS sticks up farther than the model's back goes, and covers up part of it's head. So when you sometimes shoot DIRECTLY at the model's head, you actually hit the person's back, and lose your headshot.

So yes, I have played CS thoroughly. I understand it, and I say it's an unrealistic mod that's needs more work
