I'm not buying quite yet, but does this look like an even halfway decent monitor??

http://store.yahoo.com/tigerdirect-com/m925-1732.html

i know the contrast ratio(400:1) isn't all the bad, nor is it great...but im kinda shopping and can't afford anything great...just something better than my current POS.

thanks in advance.

if u do alot of gaming i think u will be unhappy with a lcd monitor. fast movemnets will be still abit blurry their getting better but just not there yet for gaming . yes flats are cool but for that money you could get a larger deadlier crt. monitor.. just something to ponder.

Make that two cases!

Just to further muddy your waters, here is a link to what the contrast may mean...or not mean!

Just wait for frys to have a sale. Watch the paper, they frequently have sales on monitors of all types. I have my 17 inch samsung and 4 other 17inchers that are View sonics, all with flat screens and in the .21 area for under a hundred bucks each.
