I like the obvious bias in opinion shown in the poll choices. A more accurate description of the Yes choice would be: I like a balanced game.

Class limits help keep the game flowing. Would a team full of MGS be fun? I say no. It's funny how in TFC people are yelled at and told to "learn a different class." I guess that's asking too much in DoD.

There have been very few instances that I have seen where the games were unbalanced due to having to many of a class. The times I had seen it I would speak up and people would start switching classes around.

I have never seen a map full of MG's. Would it be fun? I doubt it but it just doesn't happen. I have seen more snipers than needed but once the team starts to lose a round or 2 then people start switching classes or those playing sniper leave to find a server with less snipers. That usually leads to new peeps coming in and playing.

I just didn't think that class limits were necessary. But then again I am not on the servers 24/7. There may have been situations that may have led to it. I just hope that they are taken off.

Here! Here! Most of the time the team mates will take care of this problem, too.The teams that I have been on that had to many Snipers, usually didn't last long, as some of the snipers would see this and switch or the rest of the team would complain to them. Only once have I seen a team have three MGs and that was my fault haven't joining onto the server and then relizing we already had two MGs, so I would switch the next time I died. In fact I usually see only one peson or nobody using the MG. As I had stated before hand, the sniper class is usually keeped to a minimal since you can pretty much snipe with the regular rifle without having to take so much time reloading and reaiming. I think most of these "problems" stem from people who just hate snipers and MGs and want to complain about that it makes things unfair. Those people need to learn how to get around the snipers and MGs, or learn how to aim better.

The MG is a lot different in DoD thant he SG in TFC. It doesn't autolock onto the target and the field of vision is also limited. Thus making it easy for somebody to pick you off or sneak up on you. The Sniper is a lot harder in DoD than in TFC as well.

In any case, even if there is a class limit, when you see a machine gun or a sniper rifle on the ground, you can always drop your weapon, pick up the weapon you like and start shooting!

Just my own humble opinion...

Stop on top or close to the weapon on the ground and press the G key

Chen I have never even seen you play dod....at least not at the ville. And if you have, it hasn't been very much. You can't compare TFC to DOD they are two completly different mods.

I used to play DoD a lot when it first came to TheVille (ramelle owned all!). I play now and then on the new patch. I have been in plenty of games where EVERYONE WANTS A MACHINEGUN!

The only map that I want a mg on is donner, and I am likely to rush with a mg34 and play rambo (right merf?). If a whole team wants to be snipers let them. They will lose and eventually learn that all snipers isnt good. Well maybe its good on charlie for axis, but im not too sure about that...

Bah. stop using scopes and mgs and play like real men, with the rifle! Riflemen don't need crutches like scopes, or rapid fire! It's either shoot to kill the first time or die!

woot!

Allies would all go sniper and lay in the water to snipe them back, then we would have a dm map for dod and no one wants that
