I thought it would be fun to hear what all the musicans at the Ville play and use for amps and live PA systems. So list your axes here! (And I do not mean the axes for cutting trees and stuff). List your speakers and mixers if you have them too

Here is what I use

61 key Casio CTK-551
76 key Roland Fantom
2 16 watt Kustom practice amps /w Celestion speakers
Behringer MX 2004A 16 channel mixer
2 Nady PTS 515 speakers

Jack, my amp will destroy yours!

I wield:

Squier affinity P-bass

Fender Jazz bass

15w fender practice amp

350w ampeg B2R head (amp)

ampeg 4x10 half cab capable of handling up to 800w

Dream Bass: Warwick Corvette 5-string thumb bass (same as the bassist for mudvayne used on their first album) unfortunately it costs around $1500 at guitar center

I also play drums. I have a crappy CB set with crappy zildjian ZBT cymbals.

ROCK ON VILLUNS!

he does a combo of both. it sounds like he only slaps cuz of how loose his strings are. most of the songs they play are in some low key that i dont remember right now.

best bassist ive ever heard: Les Claypool of Primus

I need to vote more than once.

I selected bass, because that is the main instrument that I play. However, I play the keys, Guitar, and Drums. My list of gear is..

Piano

99' Fender Strat
Ovation Acoustic/Electric
Yamaha 6 string
Baby Taylor
Classical

Ibanez Bass
Carvin LB70 Custom Bass (Beautiful wood work)

Roland Pro V-Drums
Pearl Forum series (first set I owned) 12 13 16 18" kick
Combined above with an Export Fusion 10 12 14 18" kick

Misc. Amps, Eq's and MidiVerbs etc. In fact I just had some problems with my 1000 watt bass amp, so I am looking into a David Eden, and maybe a BBE tube pre.

As far as a wicked bass player, you probably know of him, but check out Victer Wooten. He is the bassist for Bele Fleck, and also a solo bassist. I have a DVD of him at Bass Day 98’ (I think). Nasty is the only thing I have to say about it. Find him on Kazaa and be impressed.

You forgot to add Banjo's.

I play Guitar and Banjo.

I have 5 Guitars and 2 (five string) Banjo's.
My oldest is the Banjo from the 1890's. I will tell you the old instrument wood is sweet.
I still have never heard another banjo sound like mine. It has a deep bass sound with the twang of the banjo at the top end.

.... well i like it anyway.

I've got a few things laying around:

Epiphone ES 335
Epiphone LP 100
Epi 12 string acoustic

But I really only play my strat... I play them through a Vox Cambridge 30 Reverb which sounds friggin sweet. For effects I just use an older Zoom 505. I've got this brutal Wah pedal called the Bespeco Weeper that doubles as a volume pedal. I had a marshall jackhammer but gave it away.

And yes... jamming is sweet
